DALTON & RILEY SOTOL
The Irish diaspora that settled in northern Mexico left a mark still visible in the region's culture, communities and family names. Dalton & Riley draws on that layered heritage, celebrating the role Irish immigrants played in shaping modern Mexico through a spirit that belongs entirely to this landscape. Sotol, made from wild-harvested Desert Spoon plants in the Coahuila Desert, is then aged in oak casks in a nod to the Irish whiskey tradition the founders carried with them.

Sotol is distilled from Dasylirion wheeleri and Dasylirion texanum, plants native to the Chihuahuan Desert region spanning northern Mexico and Texas. For centuries, indigenous communities across this territory used the plant as a source of tools and fermented its juice for ceremonial and daily use. Though distinct from mezcal, sotol shares with both mezcal and tequila a protected designation of origin, legally anchored to the states of Chihuahua, Coahuila and Durango.

Dalton & Riley is made by hand from the hearts of wild-harvested sotol plants. It tastes of the land: hard and earthy, like the desert air right after a much-needed rain. The custom bottle and label were designed to carry that same quality, giving physical form to a spirit that could only come from this place.
